Zelda on Switch 2 in Egypt: the 40th Anniversary Edition and Ocarina of Time

Re:Safeplay is bringing the Nintendo Switch 2 The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time to Cairo and Giza. Price and date are not set yet; join the list on WhatsApp to hear first.

The Legend of Zelda first came out in 1986, which makes 2026 its fortieth year. Nintendo is marking it with a Switch 2 edition dressed for the occasion, and Ocarina of Time — first released on the Nintendo 64 in 1998, and still the game many people name as the best ever made — is part of the celebration.

The 40th Anniversary Edition console

From the box art: green Joy-Con 2 with gold detailing and the Hylian crest, and a dock covered in a gold Triforce pattern. Everything else is the standard Switch 2.

Price and release date in Egypt

We don’t have a confirmed price or date yet, and we won’t guess. Anyone quoting a firm Egyptian price today is guessing too. The moment we have both, the people on our list hear first.

Buying it safely when it lands

Limited editions attract resellers and fakes. The same rules apply as for any Switch 2: Nintendo doesn’t seal its boxes, so pay only after you have checked the console, and buy from someone you can go back to.
